Hello, my name is Samantha Decker, and I am a French teacher who just happens to be a photographer and digital illustrator as well. I have dabbled in all sorts of genres of photography, but the majority of my body of work consists of equine photos, travel photos, and photos I’ve taken in my home region of upstate New York.
Some career highlights: My work has been licensed by such companies as Getty Images, Flickr, and the Walt Disney Company. My photos of my hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY and surrounding areas have been featured in Saratoga Living Magazine, Capital Region Living Magazine, and Simply Saratoga Magazine; my photos of my alma mater have been featured in Oswego Alumni Magazine; and my photos of my home-away-from-home, Walt Disney World, have been featured in two editions of The Unofficial Guide: Walt Disney World. A couple of my photos have also been seen on the CBS Evening News. In 2020, 2021, and 2022, I had the honor of having three of my photos displayed in the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga as part of their annual “Photo Finish” juried exhibition. In April of 2022, I exhibited my photos at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library in Clifton Park, NY as part of Saratoga Arts‘ Art in Public Places program. My photos can also be seen as backdrops to exhibits at the Children’s Museum at Saratoga. Finally, two of my photos were selected to be part of the Hudson Headwaters Health Network’s Arts in Health Collection. Click here to view a showcase of some of my photography out in the world.
