2019 WDW Trip Part IV: Magic Kingdom

This is my fourth post in a series featuring photos from my recent trip to Walt Disney World.  Previously I blogged about Disney’s Hollywood StudiosDisney’s Animal Kingdom, and Epcot.  In this post I will share photos I took at Magic Kingdom.

In the morning all the characters come out and put on an opening show in front of Cinderella’s Castle.  They used to do it at the Main Street Station, which was better, in my opinion.

Aladdin and Jasmine looking happy to see everyone.

Mickey and Minnie share a kiss.

The Fairy Godmother!

Cinderella’s Castle on a beautiful day.

The Hall of Presidents.

Frontierland looking abandoned in the early morning.

I snapped this photo on my way into Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

I captured this photo inside Splash Mountain.

This is the view you see from Splash Mountain right before you drop.

The skies were ominous and it started to rain.

After the rain, I caught Mickey and Minnie’s Friendship Faire.

The characters sing and dance in front of the castle.

And it all finishes with a burst of fireworks!

Over at Liberty Square, the Muppets were giving a performance!

I had the opportunity to have lunch at the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen in Adventureland.

The theming is great and the food is excellent.

Here’s what I had:  the Curried Vegetable Crew Stew.

After a relaxing time back at the room, it was time to photograph Happily Ever After Fireworks from the Transportation and Ticket Center.

It’s a unique place to get fireworks shots from outside the park, but the ambiance isn’t great due to the lights and hard to hear piped in music.

Fireworks are magical from any location, though!

Back into the Kingdom for After Hours, a special event where guests can stay until midnight!

Riding Astro Orbiters at night gave me this interesting shot.

I got up close and personal with a rhino on the Jungle Cruise!

And an elephant too!

I didn’t actually ride Pirates of the Caribbean, but I took a picture of it.

The obligatory castle shot.

Walt and Mickey looking out at their Kingdom.

Good-bye!  See you real soon!

Stay tuned for my next post, where I’ll share photos I took at Disney Resorts!
