My Cessna Experience

Last weekend, I attended a charity event to benefit Nipper Knolls Equine Center, the wonderful facility where I volunteer.  I won a one hour flight over Saratoga and Warren counties in a Cessna with the Northumberland Flying Club in a silent auction.  I quickly got in touch with pilot Mike Gulli to see if we could schedule the flight in the coming week while the fall foliage was still vivid.  Luckily Mike was able to fit me in on Friday, and so up we went!

The Cessna Skyhawk parked at Heber Airport in Gansevoort, NY.

Above and below, going up from Gansevoort, you see the rural farm land below.

I took the above and below photos as we approached Glens Falls.

Glen Lake in Queensbury.

Lake George, with the Lac du Saint Sacrement visible on the water, Million Dollar Beach in the bottom right corner, and the Sagamore Resort just barely visible in the top left corner of the lake.

I had a great time!  Thanks to Nipper Knolls and Northumberland Flying Club for providing this opportunity!
