My friend Barb and I recently went on a hike to find a waterfall. Well, the falls were dried up, but we made the most of it and headed to the Sagamore in Bolton Landing for lunch and photos.
The Sagamore has beautiful grounds that are a joy to photograph.
The skies were dramatic and overcast that day, which made for interesting photos.
I didn’t have my tripod, so I set my camera on the ground with a neutral density filter on it to take some long exposures of Lake George.
Folks were out on the water enjoying the last days of summer.
This is the dining area right on Lake George.
The Sagamore is best known for its cupola.
There is a lookout in the hotel that gives great views of the grounds and the lake. Once again, I broke out the neutral density filter.
Have you ever visited or stayed at the Sagamore?
