With summer upon us, I’ve gathered up some of my favorite photos from summers past to share here with you.
Last summer, I went with my friend Michele to photograph the view from the Pinnacle in Bolton Landing, then we headed down to the Sagamore for brunch. From there, I took this photo of the Mohican making its way by. Click here to view more photos I took in the Saratoga area last summer.

Early last summer I captured the Fourth of July fireworks over Saratoga Lake. Ironically, the fireworks that were further away across the lake made for a better photo because I could capture more of the lake in the scene.
I captured this hummingbird in flight in my grandmother’s backyard in summer 2015. It took manual focus and many tries to get this one shot.

In summer 2009, I captured this photo from the top of the ferris wheel at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. It’s one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken, but it’s also one of my most frequently stolen. Click here to view more photos I’ve taken in Central New York.
Earlier that summer, I visited Martha’s Vineyard for the first (and so far, only) time. The photo above I took as the ferry was arriving at Oak Bluffs, and the photo below I took as the ferry was departing Yarmouth on mainland Cape Cod.
