American Southwest Trip Part VI: Beautiful Bryce Canyon

This is my fifth post in a series about the American Southwest.  In this post, I will share photos I took in Bryce Canyon National Park.  Be sure to read my previous posts in the series, about Grand CanyonArches National ParkMesa Verde National Park and Monument Valley, and Zion National Park.

Bryce Canyon is known for its striking red-orange hoodoos that give it a real unique look.

This is called Paria View.

Bryce Canyon Cabin

I love the cabins at Bryce!  Too bad they don’t open until May, so I missed out on an opportunity to stay in one.

A little behind the scenes shot of me heading down the Navajo Loop Trail into the canyon to grab some shots.

Looking Down Into Bryce Canyon

Here’s one of the photos I captured at dusk on the Navajo Loop Trail.

Starry Night Over Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon is famous for it’s beautiful night sky.  I went out at night to take the above and below photos.

Then it was up at dawn to take sunrise photos from the Navajo Loop Trail!

Sunrise Over Thors Hammer
Thor’s Hammer is a site to see up close.

Everywhere you look there’s a gorgeous sea of orange!

Another take on Thor’s Hammer.

Morning at Bryce

Hoodoos for Days

The hoodoos have a way of catching the morning light.

Morning Light on Bryce

This arch, which was carved out of the rock for cars to pass through, is located on the road leading into Bryce.

Well that completes my American Southwest chronicles!  I hope you enjoyed them!
