Christmas on Cape Cod 2016

A trip to Cape Cod for Christmas offered me yet another opportunity to photograph this beautiful New England peninsula.  Here are some of my favorite photographs from the trip.

A beautiful sunset over Cape Cod Canal.

The light was beautiful at Fort Hill in Eastham and I got some interesting shots with my 150-600mm lens.  The Atlantic Ocean can be seen in the distance.

I love this view of all the seaside houses from Fort Hill.

Coast Guard Station from Fort Hill

Off in the distance is the Coast Guard station.

Some trees make this shot more interesting.  The darker blue band is the Atlantic Ocean.

On to Marconi Beach, which during the summer is always crowded.

Glorious Sunset

A gorgeous sunset at Mayo Beach in Wellfleet afforded me the opportunity to get this shot with bursting sunrays.

Here is the same view with a wider lens.

Christmas Bench

I love the wreaths on the benches and fence!

I captured a few photos after sunset too, during that eerie twilight time.

The top of Wellfleet Congregational Church can be seen through the trees in this photo.

Wellfleet United Methodist Church

The Wellfleet United Methodist Church has a much different look architecturally than the Congregational Church.

I hope you enjoyed these photos from my most recent trip to Cape Cod!  Stay tuned for my “Best of 2016” posts, coming up in the next several days!
