This weekend I had an opportunity to stop by the Lake George Winter Carnival for the first time. The Carnival is held every weekend in February, so the day I went was the kickoff day. There was lots to see and photograph!
Pony rides were fun for the little ones.
Lots and lots of dogs at the Carnival!
Most of the lake was frozen over except for the area around the dock.
Luna the dog was on hand to help cheer on the dog show. Afterwards, he posed for a quick portrait for me.
I took some photos on and around the dock of the winter landscape.
A hockey match was underway on the lake!
Lots and lots of snowmobiles added color to the scenery.
I took a panorama in favor of switching lenses.
A view looking down on the lake from Shepard Park
A large bear-shaped bench sculpted from ice was one of the highlights.
Before heading back to my car to warm up and head home, I took a little walk down Canada Street.
So there you have it! Have you ever visited a winter carnival? Did you enjoy it?
Some of the tools I used to create the photos this post: Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM Lens
