I’m a little behind the 8-ball on this one, but I wanted to share my photos from my Christmas on Cape Cod. Since most of them aren’t Christmas-themed, you won’t feel too out of season.
You gotta love the present chocolates my aunt put in our wine glasses!
The night after Christmas brought me out and about in Eastham for some night photography. The above and below photos were taken at Fort Hill.
The historic Penman House looks so cool under the stars.
The Eastham Fire Station had a truck all decorated with lights.
Next stop was First Encounter Beach. You can see the Milky Way in these photos. The above and below photos were both shot with a fisheye lens, but the bottom one I defeated.
I couldn’t resist photographing the Eastham Windmill and Town Hall.
I took this photo of my parents at Indian Neck Beach in Wellfleet.
I grabbed this shot of my cousin composing a shot on his iPhone.
The sunset was gorgeous! Most of my photos were 3 different exposures layered. The HDR comes out really scary looking for sunsets.
No tripod? No problem. I didn’t feel like going back to the car to get my tripod, so I set my camera on the rocks.
Post sunset, I got a shot of the pink skies.
My aunt and cousin walking back towards the parking lot seemed the perfect shot to end this series.
Tools I used to create the photos this post: Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM, Canon Speedlite 270ex – Discontinued, but you can buy the improved Canon Speedlite 270ex II, Manfrotto 190XDB Tripod, Manfrotto 496RC2 Ball Head, B+W 77mm 3.0 ND 110 Filter, B+W 77mm Circular Polarizer Filter, Zenitar MC 16mm f/2.8 Fisheye
