Last weekend, I went with my photography club to Equine Advocates in Chatham, New York. Equine Advocates is a sanctuary for horses that have been rescued for a variety of reasons. My friend Terry of Soul Expression Photography was kind enough to arrange this meet up.
I’m loving the expression on this horse’s face! I used a fisheye to capture the whole stable.
Adorable pygmy goats like Tuffy here also call Equine Advocates home.
I found myself converting a lot of my shots to black and white.
These auburn colored horses with the blonde manes were so photogenic!
Focusing so many of my shots on the horses, it’s easy to forget to step back and capture the surroundings!
I just loved the ponies. I could watch them all day!
They love to stick their neck through the fence!
I love Matt’s cookies & creme pattern!
This mule was very friendly.
I had a great time photographing all the animals at Equine Advocates, and I hope to return again soon. Please consider stopping over to their website and giving them a donation to support all that they do for the horses!
