Photographing Bennington, Vermont, in Fall

Paper Mill Bridge

If you’ve been reading my blog since its inception in July, you know I traveled (and by traveled I mean took a short car ride) to Bennington this summer.  There are so many great sites to photograph in Bennington, so I decided I needed to go there in fall as well.

Old First Church in Bennington, VT

The first thing that greets you when you come into Bennington is the Old First Church.  The foliage was just beautiful around this spot.

Behind the church is an old cemetery where Robert Frost’s grave lies.

I also went to the top of Bennington Monument, which offered a great view of the foliage and the Old First Church from up above.

This was a quick trip, so to round it out, I went to photograph one of the many covered bridges in Vermont. The top picture in this post is the same bridge, looking at the falls flowing under it.

Bennington is also home to Camelot Village Antique Shop, where you could easily spend hours looking through all the relics.  Below is just one small corner.

By now, Bennington is past peak and most of the leaves have probably fallen off the trees.  It’s off to New York City this weekend where the foliage is popping!
