The 2022 Holiday Season in Saratoga

Broadway lit up for the holidays.

My hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY has a lot to offer in the month of December. In this post I’ll share some favorite photos I took this year during the holiday season.

I recently took my Downtown Saratoga illustration and dressed it up for Christmas! I love taking older illustrations and putting a new twist on them.
These historic homes on North Broadway had some of the classiest and most elegant Christmas decorations in town, in my opinion.
I took this with my phone one night, very spur of the moment. Of course I wished I had my gear with me, but the phone holds up pretty well when called upon.
I went around the outside of Saratoga Race Course right after our first heavy snowfall. NYRA had put a starting gate out by the fence complete with lights and a Christmas tree, and decorations around the front entrance. I love looking in at the track in the off season. You might even think it’s abandoned by looking at these photos, but boy, what a difference 6 months makes.
I took an earlier illustration I made of the grandstand at the track and added Christmas lights and Santa and his sleigh.
