Ottawa Trip Part V: Marvelous Montebello

This is my fifth post in a series where I share photos I took in the Ottawa area.  Click here to view my photos of the Almanzo Wilder Farm, click here to view my photos of Glengarry, Ontario, click here to view my photos of Ottawa itself, and click here to view my photos of Gatineau, Québec.  In this post I will share my photos of the Fairmont le Château Montebello.

Upon arriving at the hotel, you enter through this portico containing a wood carved bench.

The room was spacious and had a rustic feel.

The building is said to be the world’s largest log cabin.

The lobby reminds me of a National Park lodge.

The center of the building branches out into several wings.

An evening walk on the grounds yielded this shot.

Besides the hotel itself, the grounds take you up to the Ottawa River.

There is also a marina on the grounds.

I took this photo using the last available light.

Even the pool has a log cabin feel.

The back of the spa building.

The modern looking conference center.

The hotel at dusk.

The lobby is a sight to behold!

I took this photo on a morning walk by the river.
