Welcome to the second installment of posts on my trip through the Canadian Rockies, focusing on Yoho and Kootenay National Parks in British Columbia. Be sure to read my previous post on Banff. For more photos of Yoho National Park, check out this post I wrote back in 2015.
At the continental divide, you can have the pleasure of standing in two provinces and two national parks at once.
Marble Canyon in Kootenay is a must see.
The water is the signature turquoise blue color of the Canadian Rockies.
I didn’t have my tripod with me, but leaning against the rail, I was able to handhold these long exposures.
At Natural Bridge, quite a few people risked their lives to get a better shot, many of which I cloned out of this photo.
Next stop: Cathedral Mountain Lodge in Yoho National Park! Above is one of their cabins, and below is the interior.
The main lodge has a lovely dining room, and breakfast is included.
