Thanksgiving 2021 on Cape Cod

I recently ventured out to Cape Cod, Massachusetts to enjoy Thanksgiving with family. While the bulk of time was spent just enjoying each others’ company, I did manage to take a few photos, which I’ll share in this post.

I brought only my phone and my 5D Mark IV with a 50mm lens mounted. That turned out to be enough! I took this photo with my phone using a long-exposure app called Spectre as my dad drove over the Bourne Bridge onto the Cape.

When I see that sign, I know I’ve made it! Click here to order a print of this photo.

I got to meet a very sweet labradoodle puppy named Ginger. With only my 50mm lens, I used Photoshop’s superzoom feature to crop this image and retain resolution.

Cheers!

The table is set!

My dad prepares to take his first bite of Thanksgiving dinner, as I made him pause for a photo.

Thanksgiving time also comes with some time to relax. Here, my grandmother works on a crossword puzzle.

My aunt knows how to make up a cheese plate!

Yum, stuffed clams from Mac’s Seafood!

It’s the classic day-after-Thanksgiving leftover turkey sandwich for lunch!

I took this one with my camera and 50mm lens.

This is one of my favorite little corners of the world, Weeset Point in Orleans. This was sort of an unintentional two-shot panorama done off a ledge since I didn’t even bring my tripod. Click here to order a print of this photo.

I made this illustration from the photo I took of the ocean at Nauset Light Beach. Click here to order a print of this illustration.
