Spring Into Spring!

It’s officially spring, but here where I live, there’s plenty of snow on the ground.  To get you in the spring spirit, here are my favorite photos that evoke the season.

Monet’s home and garden in Giverny were the inspiration for many of his most famous paintings.  The photo above is of the pond where many of his famous lily pads were located.  Below is a veritable rainbow of flowers in various colors and shapes.

Versailles in Bloom
The gardens at Versailles are most stunning in spring.

Spring Blossoms

While traveling to far flung locales may afford you additional photo opportunities, sometimes a new photo subject is waiting for you right at home, like the one above.

Tulips at the Equinox

I love tulips.  The photos above and below were both taken at the Equinox in Manchester, VT, on different occasions.

Gardens at Yaddo

Yaddo in Saratoga is a wonderful place to take photos in spring.

Beautiful Blossoms in Congress Park

I love the blooms on this tree in Congress Park!

Birds of a Feather

This mother bird (right) set up a nest on the wreath on my front door a couple of years ago.  Here she is with who I assume is the father bird (left).

The Easter Eggs Are Dyed

Dying Easter eggs is a spring tradition for many.  This photo is from cat Casey’s first Easter 8 years ago.

Daisy Topiary at EPCOT
The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival each spring features topiaries of various Disney characters spread throughout the park.  Most of them are the same from year to year, but they always put new ones out in front of Spaceship Earth, such as this one of Daisy.

Beautiful Bowling Green

I love these gorgeous red tulips around the fountain in the Bowling Green area of New York City.

Here’s to warmer weather and more opportunities to take photos like these soon!
