Thanksgiving on Cape Cod

Since my aunt lives on Cape Cod, me and several other members of my family went out there for Thanksgiving.  It may have been cold outside, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t gorgeous sights to photograph!
I didn’t take a ton of shots with my fisheye but I got an interesting one at Mayo Beach in Wellfleet.  It’s one of those shots you have to look at closely to realize it’s a fisheye.  The trick is to put the horizon right in the center.

Another fisheye shot…this decorative window at the Wellfleet Marketplace was begging for the fisheye treatment.

Here are a few more shots I got at Mayo Beach when the light was beautiful:

The Fort Hill area in Eastham looked gorgeous at Sunset.

Here is the Edward Penniman House, on Fort Hill. The arch is made of none other than whale jaw bones.

Cape Cod has a lot of windmills! Here is one in Eastham.

I captured this sunset photo in the freezing cold.  It was two exposures blended later in Photoshop.  For both, I used a neutral density filter and a polarizer filter to capture the motion of the clouds.

Another day we went shopping in Brewster.  The Brewster Store had some neat miniatures and shadow boxes.

Lemon Tree Village Shops in Brewster had all sorts of statues and gargoyles.

We took a trip to Lieutenant Island, off the coast of Wellfleet on the bay, where my family used to stay when I was younger. The light was really gorgeous!
