Winter at the Saratoga Harness Track

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know that I post a lot about Thoroughbreds. Well, in today’s post, I’m highlighting a different breed: Standardbreds. My hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY is famous for its Thoroughbred racetrack, one of the oldest in the country. Their meet, however, is only for a brief six weeks in the summer. Folks wanting to see horse racing the rest of the year can head over to Saratoga Casino and Hotel, sometimes called Saratoga Harness or formerly Saratoga Raceway, home to the local harness track. I recently made a couple of visits to the track, and in this post, I will share some favorite shots that I got.
