My friend let me use her 300mm f/2.8 lens one morning as we photographed the horses at the Oklahoma Training Track in Saratoga.  Wow, what a lens!

A Pony Peeks Through the Fence:  November 9, 2014
This pony at Equine Advocates in Chatham, NY, was standing so still I was able to get a 4 shot panorama of him with my 135mm f/2 lens, resulting in a portrait with a very shallow depth of field.

Two horses leading a carriage at the Saratoga Battlefield’s Frost Faire.

Polo Match in Saratoga:  August 7, 2015
A photo I took at the Whitney Cup polo match at Saratoga Polo Association.

Beautiful Babydoll:  November 13:  2019
This is Babydoll, the horse I ride at Rolling Oaks Morgans in Gansevoort, NY.  This isn’t the first photo I’ve shared of her, but it is my favorite I’ve taken so far.  The only place I could photograph her without her halter or bridle on was in her stall, which had very little available light, but my trusty Canon 5D Mark IV was up to the challenge.  What resulted was this portrait.

Roaring Lion Runs:  December 7, 2019
Roaring Lion, affectionately known as Leo, of Old Friends at Cabin Creek in Greenfield, NY.

Stay tuned for my next installment, where I will share my best photos from the past decade taken at Disney Parks and Resorts!
