Arizona Excursion Part II: The Horses of Rancho de los Caballeros

In a previous post I shared photos I took at Rancho de los Caballeros in Wickenburg, AZ. Because I took so many photos of the horses, I have made a whole separate post just to share those photos. What follows are my favorites.

I found my name on the chalkboard for the morning trail ride. Footloose was the horse I rode.

The horses at the hitching post.

This is footloose, the horse I rode.

Me on footloose.

I didn’t bring a camera on the trail ride, so I drew a picture of what it looked like. That’s our trail leader Audrey in front.

Every afternoon the horses make their way from the corral back to the pasture for the evening. It’s quite a sight to see!

Then, again in the morning, the horses make their way from the pasture to the corral for another day of trail rides.

Head wrangler Tony heads out to the pasture to get the horses.

I made two illustrations of Tony passing by.

A behind the scenes photo.

I also photographed some of the horses down at the corral.

Another behind the scenes shot.

I made an illustration incorporating the ranch’s symbol with a different version of my trail ride illustration.
