Yearlings at Fasig-Tipton

I recently photographed some yearlings for auction at Fasig-Tipton in my hometown of Saratoga Springs, NY. Since Saratoga is known for its world-famous racetrack, it should come as no surprise that there is a thoroughbred auction house in town. I previously blogged about weanlings at Fasig-Tipton last fall.

First, lets look at the yearlings that were auctioned at the Saratoga Sale on August 8 and 9.

This Justify filly out of Battle Girl sold for $475,000.

I captured some video footage of the auction as well. This footage will be part of a larger project about thoroughbreds I am working on.
