Winter 2024 at the Spa

Well, winter may be over, but it’s still a winter wonderland here in upstate New York. In this post I will share some winter photos I took at Saratoga Race Course this year.

It’s a sad sight: Belmont and the summer meet are still months away.

The snow comes down on the 1853 Club, viewed from outside the Clubhouse entrance.

Across the street, the Against All Odds sculpture looks beautiful covered in snow.

Here’s the sculpture from a different angle.

A blanket of snow covers the area around the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

Union Ave. is a snowy delight.

A view of the entrance to the museum.

Another view of the museum.

The snow was really coming down hard as I got to Fasig-Tipton! The slower shutter speed turns the snow into streaks.

A view of the sales paddock.

Cars zoom down Union Ave. at night.

The grandstand covered in snow sure is a contrast to the summer views we’re used to seeing!
